At the Resistance 2 midnight launch saleathon at San Fran’s Metreon two nights ago, customers posed for mock box-art photos. I got into character (“pointing guy who doesn’t see the monsters behind him”). My girlfriend, Raychul…not so much.I was decked out in my Michigan gear because I knew I was going to be seeing Bryan Intihar there…an ex-EGMer, current community manager at Insomniac Games, and — bleah — Ohio State fan. I thought for sure he’d sign my limited edition box (which the store was selling at normal-edition prices) with “Michigan Sux!!” but instead, he wrote “I love you” just to prove me wrong. There’s a Bucknut for ya.
‘Tis the season for reunions with former EGMers turned community managers. Kathleen Sanders was in town recently as well for an XNA Community Games event. If I can see Luke Smith (Bungie) or Che Chou (Microsoft) anytime soon, that’ll complete the trifecta.
Hey, what’s with all the Ziffers going to work for Microsoft??
